SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Maria Belen Vendrell defeated Olivia Sims (6-1, 6-0) in the No. 3 singles to capture a 6-0 win for the Converse (4-2) tennis team over Benedict College (0-1) on Tuesday afternoon, opening the spring portion of its 2018-19 schedule. After an 0-2 start to the season the Valkyries have bounced back strong with a four-match win streak.
