SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Converse Valkyries put up a strong fight against SCAD and Limestone on Senior Night on Friday evening.
Converse honored Laura Ann Dixon, Kathy Herman and Marianna Markley during the meet.
HOW IT HAPPENED
200 Medley Relay
Converse started off the meet with a fourth and sixth place finish. Laura Ann Dixon, Anna Pettus, Sarah Russell and Hannah Asselin comprised of the fourth place relay with a time of 1:57.80.
Hannah Dickinson, Cassidy Rindge, Hannah Taber and Lisa Studsill finished sixth.
1000 Freestyle
Kathy Herman and Kendall Polk finished third and fifth respectively. Herman finished with a time of 12:44.04 with Polk finishing with a time of 13:17.39.
200 Freestyle
Sarah Russell led the Valkyries with a third place finish with a time of 2:04.69.
50 Backstroke
Converse finished sixth through eighth in the event. Hannah Dickinson finished with a time of 31.04 with Lisa Studsill and Cassidy Rindge following.
50 Breaststroke
Anna Pettus led the Valkyries with a time of 34.04 and a fifth place finish. Cassidy Rindge, Kathy Herman and Shannon Smith finished seventh through ninth respectively.
100 Butterfly
Sarah Russell touched the wall in second place in the event with a time of 1:00.84. Laura Ann Dixon finished seventh.
50 Freestyle
Hannah Taber touched the wall in sixth with a time of 26.64.
100 Freestyle
Lisa Studsill and Hannah Taber went six-seven in the event. Studsill touched at 58.37 and Taber at 58.55.
100 Backstroke
Laura Ann Dixon finished third in the event with a time of 1:04.72. Hannah Dickinson went 1:07.00.
100 Breaststroke
Anna Pettus finished fourth overall with a time of 1:13.15.
500 Freestyle
Kendall Polk and Kathy Herman finished fourth and fifth respectively. Polk touched the wall at 5:59.33 and Herman at 6:05.39.
50 Butterfly
Sarah Russell grabbed a second place finish in the event with a time of 27.39 missing out on the top spot by .30.
200 IM
Laura Ann Dixon finished third in her final home event with a time of 2:18.10.
200 Freestyle Relay
Converse finished fourth and fifth in the relays to wrap up the meet. Kathy Herman, Lisa Studsill, Marianna Markley and Hannah Asselin finished fourth with a time of 1:45.99.
