INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half

Converse wasted no time putting points on the board, scoring three times in the game's first 17:36. White got the party started at the 13:16 mark with an unassisted goal, before assisting on Mancinelli's goal just 80 seconds later. Cumez-Ortiz got in on the action in the 18th minute, taking a pass from Cantor and blasting it into the back of the net for the 3-0 lead.

The Valkyries, playing with a comfortable lead, stood very stout on the defensive side of the ball, not allowing the Warriors to cut in to the advantage. Albritton padded the lead to 4-0 heading to halftime with a goal of her own at the 34:08 mark.

Second Half

After the plethora of scoring in the first half, period number two was more of a defensive battle. SWU had several looks at goal, but Bankston built a wall around the net and did not allow the Warriors to deny her of a shutout, leading the Vals to the route win.

UP NEXT

Converse will look to build on the momentum as it steps out of conference on Wednesday, October 23, traveling to Newberry to face the Wolves. Kickoff for that contest is scheduled for 7 p.m.
