SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Head coach Patti McGowan of the Converse College golf team has unveiled the fall portion of the 2019 Valkyrie Golf schedule.
First up will be the Anderson Invitational on September 9-10, held at the Cobb's Glen Country Club in Anderson, S.C. The Valkyries will then travel to Bristol, Tenn. and the Country Club of Bristol on September 23-24 to participate in the King Invitational, hosted by King University.
"Valkyrie Golf will hit the road starting our competitive non-championship season early with a young team, having only one senior, Marisa Kawabe, on the roster at what promises to be a great season opener at the Anderson Invitational at Cobb's Glen Country Club," said McGowan.
A trip to Dahlonega, Ga. and the Achasta Golf Club will have the Purple and Gold showing off their talents at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial on October 14-15 before concluding the fall at the Flager Fall Slam in St. Augustine, Fla., played at the Marsh Creek Country Club.
"Four tournaments in four states, we are sure to have an exciting fall filled with great competition! This young Valkyrie squad will be looking to make their own marks in the Valkyrie Golf Team record books," concluded McGowan.
