HOW IT HAPPENED

Game One:

Mariah Blackmon reached base on a dribbler to the circle to load the bases with one out.  The Valkyries were unable to scratch across a run after a strikeout and a grounder.

The Bears used a Valkyrie miscue early in the second inning to post 10 runs to take an 11-0 lead.

Pitcher Hannah Boring settled in during the third and fourth innings allowing only three hits and no runs.
