HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half

Both teams came out firing in the opening portion of the game, putting shots on goal, but each goalie was up to the task as they defended their respective goals. However, that changed at the 6:51 mark of action as Coker was able to post the game's first goal following a penalty corner.

After a scoreless first period, Converse came back to tie the game in the second period. Teana Maloney served a great ball to Morgan Berndt, who slipped it just past the Cobra keeper and into the back of the box.

The remainder of the first half was a defensive battle as neither team could post the go-ahead goal, sending the contest into halftime tied 1-1.

Second Half

Coker broke the tie midway through the third period following a goal from Lisa Rempt. Converse went on the attack, but was unable to score the equalizer and Coker padded its lead with a Kaleigh Cordery goal with less than two minutes remaining in the third period.

Coker tacked on a goal with 30 seconds remaining in the game to push the final score to 4-1 in favor of the Cobras.
