Records: Converse (1-11), Lindenwood (6-4)

HOW IT HAPPENED

First Quarter

Both defenses were on their toes in the opening period as neither team could break through on the scoreboard. However, Converse was finally able to tack on the game's first goal in the 12th minute of action following Berndt's score. Bella Pistilli took the ball down the baseline and sent it in the circle before Berndt was able to corral it and blast it off a Lions defender into the back of the goal.

Second Quarter

Lindenwood controlled the pace of the game in the quarter, accounting for all 10 shots in the frame. Despite that edge in shots, the Valkyries defense was able to hold their own, not allowing a goal and sending the game into halftime with the 1-0 lead.

Third Quarter

After 7:10 of play in the third period, Lindenwood managed to pull even with Converse following a goal by Bridget Hoogendijk. Just under five minutes later Hoogendijk put the Lions ahead for good with her second score of the contest.

Fourth Quarter

Mary Clare Banholzer tacked on an insurance goal for the Lions in the fourth period and the Converse offense was unable to trim the gap any, falling by the final of 3-1.
