HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half

Limestone wasted no time breaking through on the scoreboard, tallying three goals in the opening 15 minutes of action. After eight minutes of scoreless action LC's Samantha D'Antonio gathered a loose ball in front of the cage and snuck it past the keeper, giving Limestone the early lead. Goals at the 11 and 14 minute marks expanded the lead heading into the second quarter.

The Valkyries defense stiffened in the second, allowing only one goal, but Converse headed into the locker room trailing 4-0 after one half of play.

Second Half

Converse came out firing to start the second half, putting two shots on goal, but the Limestone keeper pushed them away to keep the Vals off the board.

The Saints were able to add a single goal in the third followed by three more scores in the fourth to run away with the 8-0 victory.
