GILBERT, Ariz. – The Converse College field hockey team has been named as recipients of the 2018 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II National Academic Team Award as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Tuesday afternoon.
The Division II National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of the 2018-19 school year. Slippery Rock University posted the highest team GPA for the second year in a row with a mark of 3.66. Second on the list is Pace University with a team GPA of 3.65 and listed third is Southern New Hampshire University with a 3.63. West Chester and Lindenwood University round out the top-five performers with team GPAs of 3.59 and 3.58, respectively.
