Equestrian Finishes In Third In Final Show, Third In Region

CHARLESTON, S.C. - In the final show of the regular season, Converse Equestrian finishes third in the College of Charleston show.  With the third place finish, Converse finished third in the Region as well.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Lydia Davidson picked up a first place finish in the intermediate flat.  Davidson also picked up a fourth place finish in intermediate over fences.  Davidson's finish pointed out in her event to advance to Regionals.

Carson Rehn placed first in Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter.   Jennifer Matusik finished second in Beginner Walk, Trot, Canter.  Rehn's finish pointed her out in the event to advance to Regionals.

Josephine Grimmer took home first in Novice Fences and a fifth place finish in Novice Flat.

Madison Orr placed second in open over fences.  Katie Dixon and Caroline Gilliam placed second in Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter and Novice Flat respectively.

Heather McCrary finished with a fourth place finish in Novice Flat.

Addie Ledbetter and Madeline Wagner picked up sixth place finishes in Intermediate Flat.  Wagner also showed in Intermediate Fences.

Emma Jameson showed in Walk, Trot.  Gabrielle Franklin showed in Novice Fences.

REGIONAL RIDERS

Converse posted nine riders for Regional competition.

Lydia Davidson, Josephine Grimmer, Heather McCrary, Carson Rehn, Corinne Flanary, Addie Ledbetter, Julia Williams, Caroline Gilliam, and Jennifer Matusik qualified for Regionals on Sunday.
