Valkyries Equestrian Rides To High Point Team At Lander

GREENWOOD, S.C. - The Converse Equestrian team continued their strong performance at the Lander University show by bringing home the High Point Team title.

HOW THEY RODE

Madison Orr took first place in the open over fences and in open flat.  Orr was named Reserve High Point Rider for placing first in both divisions.

Jennifer Matusik finished first in Beginner Walk, Trot and Canter.

Lydia Davidson and Addie Ledbetter finished second in Intermediate Flat.

Caroline Gilliam and Corinne Flanary finished second in Novice Flat and Novice Fences respectively.

Gabby Franklin finished third in Novice Fences, while teammate Katie Dixon rode to third place in Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter.

Julia Williams and Josephine Grimmer posted fourth place finishes in Intermediate Fences and Novice Flat respectively.

Heather McCrary advanced to the Novice Division after beginning her career in Beginner Walk Trot Canter.

Lydia Davidson and Madeline Wagner competed in Intermediate Flat.  Addie Ledbetter competed in Intermediate Fences.

Emma Jameson competed in Walk Trot, while Carson Rehn participated in Adavanced Walk Trot Canter.

The Valkyries Equestrian team will ride in their final regular season show on March 4 at the College of Charleston.
