Valkyries Equestrian Brings Home Another Championship From South Carolina

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. - The Converse Equestrian Team concluded their competition at South Carolina on a high note.  The Valkyries earned Reserve Champion Team on Saturday followed by High Point Champion in competition on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Lydia Davidson took home Reserve Champion High Point Rider grabbing blue ribbons in both Intermediate Flat and Intermediate Fences.
  • Jennifer Matusik finished third in beginner Walk, Trot, Canter.
  • Corinne Flanary finished second in Novice Flat, while finishing fifth in Novice Fences.
  • Heather McCrary finished fourth in Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter.
  • Madison Orr finished fourth in Jumping and fifth in Open Flat.
  • Julia Williams picked up a pair of fifth place finishes in Novice Fences and Novice Flat.
  • Madeline Wagner finished fifth in Intermediate Flat.
  • Caroline Gilliam and Katie Dixon finished sixth in Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter.
  • Gabby Franklin competed in Novice Flat and Novice Fences with a pair of sixth place finishes.
  • Addie Ledbetter finished the day with a sixth place finish in Novice Fences.

UP NEXT

So far this season the Valkyries Equestrian team have produced two High Point Team Titles and a Reserve Champion Team title.  Converse will show at Clemson on October 23.
