Equestrian Brings Home High Point Title In Opening Show of 2016

STATESBORO, GA.- The Converse Equestrian team tied for first place and the title of high point team with a strong showing in the first competition of the year at Georgia Southern on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Carson Rehn brought home the blue ribbon placing first in the Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter.
  • Addie Ledbetter had a blue ribbon ride within the Novice Flat Division placing at the top of her class.
  • Josephine Grimmer also brought home a blue ribbon within the Walk, Trot, Canter class.
  • Caroline Gilliam placed third in Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter.
  • Madison Orr picked up two ribbons in the show with a 3rd place finish in Open Over Fences and a 2nd place finish in Open Flat Division.
  • Corinne Flanary took home a third place robbon in Novice Equitation Over Fences and a fourth place finish in Novice Over Fences.
  • Gabby Franklin placed runner-up in the Novice Flat.
  • Heather McCrary finished fourth within the Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter class.
  • Jenny Matusik finished the day with a third place finish in Walk, Trot.
  • Madeline Wagner and Lydia Davidson competed in Intermediate Over Fences and placed fourth in Intermediate Flat as individuals.
  • Julia Williams placed fourth in Novice Over Fences.
  • Katie Dixon competed well in the Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter.
