Converse Equestrian Places Third At Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Converse Equestrian Team placed third at the IHSA horse show hosted by Clemson University over the weekend.

Freshmen, Lauren Rockwell started off the day with a fifth place finish in Open Flat. Rockwell then went on to place sixth in Open Over Fences.

Next, transfer, Madeline Wagner placed third in Intermediate Flat and also competed in Intermediate Fences.

Junior, Addie Ledbetter placed third in Novice Fences. Ledbetter would then place second in the Novice Flat class. Freshmen, Julia Williams placed sixth in Novice Over Fences and placed fourth in Novice Flat.

Sophomore, Lauren Hooks placed fifth in Novice Over Fences and Novice Flat. Transfer, Corinne Flanary placed fourth in Novice Flat. Juniors, Carson Rehn and Katie Dixon competed in Advanced Walk Trot Canter.

Freshmen, Caroline Gilliam placed sixth in Advanced Walk Trot Canter. Transfer, Josephine Grimmer placed second in Advanced Walk Trot Canter. Junior, Heather McCrary placed third in Beginner Walk Trot Canter.

To round out the day, freshmen, Jennifer Matusik placed second in Walk Trot.

The team will travel to the College of Charleston for their next show to be held on March 5th. Regionals will be held on March 6th at the College of Charleston as well.
