Fourth Place Showing For Valkyries Equestrian

STATESBORO, GA. - The Converse Equestrian Team placed fourth in the second horse show of the spring season at Georgia Southern over the weekend.  Converse is currently placed fifth in Region 3.

Transfer Junior, Madeline Wagner started off the day with a fourth place finish in Intermediate Over Fences. Wagner also placed third in Intermediate on the Flat. Next, Junior, Addie Ledbetter placed sixth of eleven riders in Novice Over Fences. Ledbetter then went on to place fifth in Novice on the Flat.

Freshmen, Julia Williams placed sixth in her section of Novice Over Fences. Williams then placed fourth in her section of Novice on the Flat. Sophomore, Lauren Hooks placed sixth in Novice Over Fences and fourth in Novice on the Flat. 

Senior, Jordan Raska placed fifth in Novice Over Fences and fourth in Intermediate on the Flat. Freshmen, Lauren Rockwell placed second in Open on the Flat. Transfer, Corinne Flanary competed in Novice Flat.

Transfer, Josephine Grimmer placed fifth in her Advanced Walk Trot Canter section. Freshmen, Caroline Gilliam placed fourth in Advanced Walk Trot Canter. Junior, Heather McCrary placed fifth in Beginner Walk Trot Canter. Junior, Carson Rehn placed third in her section of Advanced Walk Trot Canter. Next, Junior, Katie Dixon placed fourth in Beginner Walk Trot Canter. To round out the rainy show day, freshmen, Jennifer Matusik competed in Walk Trot.

The team will travel to Clemson University for their next show to be held on February 20th.
