SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse Acro and Tumbling team picked up a dominant win over Georgetown College on Saturday afternoon inside the Weisiger Center. The Valkyries won every event as well as every heat within those events to capture a 266.980-129.025 victory. Converse now improves to 3-2 on the season.

Converse established separation beginning with the compulsory event, outscoring the Tigers 36.90-22.25 to take a commanding lead early. The pyramid heat of the compulsory proved to be very good for CC, tallying a solid 9.70 out of a start value of 10, the highest score of any heat in the initial event.

That lead continued to grow following the Acro event as Converse put up 27.35 points to Georgetown's 22.35. Heat one of the pyramid event was very kind to the Vals, scoring 9.95 out of a possible 10, the highest all year for the inversion pyramid. Converse went into halftime leading 93.6-69.9.

The Valkyries continued to add distance between themselves and GC, winning the toss event by 4.1 points (27.5-23.4) before blowing the meet wide open with a tumbling event win (53.450-35.725). Breana Clarke scored a 9.5 in the aerial pass to lead the Purple and Gold in the event.

Georgetown, due to a small roster, did not compete in the team routine portion of the meet and Converse scored 92.43 points during its 2:45 seconds to take home the third win of the year.

Converse will now take to the road after three consecutive home meets, traveling to Fairmont State University for a 2 p.m. meet.
