Every month throughout the Converse Athletics' season, the Converse Athletic Department will name a Valkyrie of the Month for their performance in their respective sport.
Valkyrie of the Month honors goes to Sarah Russell of the Valkyries swim team.
So far this season Sarah has compiled six top-3 finishes in six individual events she has competed in. Russell also holds the top time for the conference in the 100 butterfly event. Her most impressive performances of the season came in the Converse College 8th Annual Women's Invite, where she placed first in the 100 fly, as well as a top finsih in the 100 free at Lenoir-Rhyne.
