Converse's athletic training intern, Liz Caldwell, will be participating in the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults 4K for Cancer over the summer.  Caldwell and a team of 30 people will be making the trek from San Francisco to the Ulman Cancer Fund headquarters in Baltimore, Md.

The Ulman Cancer Fund is a non-profit organization who works to ensure young adults are not alone when facing cancer, that they have the resources necessary to effectively navigate their cancer journey, physically, emotionally and beyond.  Also, raise awareness by creating opportunities and platforms for individuals and communities to join in the fight against cancer.

Caldwell will start her journey on June 17 in San Francisco and run between 8-16 miles per day in a relay style event.  She will log approximately 350-650 miles during the course of the 4,000 mile journey to Baltimore.

Caldwell and her team will run in the mornings while spreading the word and talking with cancer patients and their families in hopes of inspiring and uniting those individuals that are going through these tough times.  Along the way the team will be giving out Chemo care packages, spreading the word, giving out scholarships to young adults suffering from cancer, and many other service projects.

The team of 30 individuals will set up camp in churches, high schools, colleges, or whomever will open their floors to them.  The journey will last about 49 days ending on August 6 in Baltimore, Md.
